Holiday Guide #4

Two of my reasons for being thankful this year, my wonderful
cats!

I was brushing my hair last night and noticed how long it really is...wow! Today while I finish shopping I am going to get hair dye to do my hair again....Soon I will cut it and donate it to locks of love, something I have wanted to do forever I'm just not sure when it will happen. With Thanksgiving being tomorrow I sit and remember all the reasons I am thankful, two of those reasons are my cats Char and Totoro. Without them I think my day would lack excitement since they give me many laughs with all their jumping and playing.

Today I will give you two amazing artists, one a graphic designer and one a graphic designer by day and wire wrapper by night. The graphic designer is my go to gal when I need something done, she does amazing things, she has done my banners for my store and does all the images for my bottle cap necklaces and domino pendants. The other is someone I have blogged about before, I love her wire wrapping and have a lot to learn from her! She has amazing technique and her designs are to die for!

The first, my go to gal, Tara. When I was new to the online selling scene I stumbled across her on Tophatter. I fell in love with her memory wire bracelets, yes she does jewelry too! and I asked her how she got her ends so even,  I still have some that aren't even some days but thanks to Tara I learned fast. She has taught me many things and I have fun talking to her and we vent to each other just like sisters! Now I'm not sure about you but it is good to have someone like her in the business. I have enjoyed taking the things that she sends my way and turning them into my own creations, it is fun. She does banners, clip art and images for domino, bottle caps and scrabble tiles and so much more. If you want to see more of Tara's work check her out at http://www.etsy.com/shop/graphicdesignbytara

Graphic designer by day and wire wrapper by night, Anne's work is is amazing! When I blogged about her last month I raved about her starfish I think, I love starfish and seeing hers made me smile! Her work is get for holiday decoration, jazzing up your house or having that standout accessory at the work party. Not only is she proud of her work but she also helps spread the word about fellow artists any way she can. If you need something out of the ordinary for this holiday season visit her at http://craftcafe.co/shop/flotsamandwhimsy/

Tomorrow I will take the day off since I will be busy with family but look for me again on Friday. Don't forget to visit my store on starting tomorrow for the 50% off sale using code FRIDAYMONDAY during checkout.  Check out the coupons page on Craft Cafe to find all the other stores that are having sales this weekend as well! Happy Thanksgiving!!

Holiday Guide #2

Yesterday was stressful...my cat has been sick off and on since October 29th and I took him to the vet because he had pretty much stopped eating, they told me he had 'fever of unknown origin' and an infection that they couldn't pinpoint but filled him full of fluids and put him on some antibiotics and he seems to be doing better already. I am starting to relax a bit but he still is not eating much....maybe once the fever is gone completely and hes hydrated again, he will eat normally, it don't help that he is part Siamese!

So, our shops yesterday were two amazing artists, each day I will give you at least two depending on if I miss the day before but I am hoping I am able to keep on track! Today I am going to give you an amazing clay worker, her and her daughter are able to make just about anything you can think of and my go to soap gal!

The Soothing Soul, that just sounds relaxing!, has soap for the whole family. Helene makes soap for the husband-which we have tried and my man loves, the wife-which I love and have several of, the kids-which are so cute and if I had little ones I know I would have some of, and the furbabies-I haven't tried these yet but I'm sure I will! One of my favorite things about shopping at The Soothing Soul is if you want oats added to a bar extra coffee in the Coffee Peppermint soap she will do that, Helene enjoys having happy customers! Stop by and check out her amazing soaps and wonderful line of Christmas soaps at http://craftcafe.co/shop/thesoothingsoul/

H.M's Pretty Little Jewels makes wonderful things out of clay. The cupcakes that you have seen in my creations before came from their store and I have a few more that I still have that need to be put to use. This is a mother/daughter duo of Haley and Pammy create necklaces, bracelets, charms and hair bows out of clay. They will also take custom orders, as long as it is not to outrageous and is within their reach-seeing as they make everything with their hands, they will be glad to make your wishes come true. Visit them and their amazing creations at https://www.facebook.com/HmsPrettyLittleJewels  or http://www.etsy.com/shop/HMPrettyLittleJewels

Super Frakenstorm??

With Halloween approaching one has to wonder if Hurricane Sandy wanted to play dress up as well when it merged with the winter storm, lost it hurricane status and became a super storm for the northeast. Right now NY and NJ have so much flood water, almost everything has been shut down and millions are without power, the rest of us are sitting here watching what she does and praying for those that are still in her path. Still waiting to find out about a few of my friends but for the most part I have heard from everyone that was in her path, I hope you and all of your family are okay as well!

I have been busy these last few days, here is what I have been doing. Two sets of earrings, a necklace and 3 cellphone charms-however you can do with them whatever you want... key chains or book bags whatever your imagination brings to you!

Don't you just love Fall?

I woke up at 7:45 and was amazed at why I was up so early! I didn't have to be up until 8:30 and still was up that early, it has been like that the last few days, I have been waking up early and I just don't understand. I love the weather though, it is cool all day sometimes it gets a bit warm but never hot and then at night it is chilly. I love the feel of fall. And baking, now is the best time to start baking again, summer is a bad time to bake, it is to hot and cakes don't turn out right but over the next few days I will be baking cakes for a fall festival on Friday night that I will be going to with my mom, we make the best popcorn and have the longest line while we are there!

Craft Cafe is doing a wonderful thing now, each week from Monday morning until Friday morning they are doing a giveaway. Each week they will have a different shop, all you have to do is follow the rules to be entered. You can come back each day and enter again to get as many entries as possible. They started the shop giveaways off with my store, here is the link. Have fun and try to win the $20 gift certificate! http://craftcafelove.blogspot.com/2012/10/gift-certificate-giveaway-peachies.html

Do you have dry skin? I have a problem with one dry elbow, it runs in the family. I have found a store though and they are amazing! Natural Blendings Spa Products has a solution to our problem. They have so many amazing products for so many different issues that you may have. I have Chocolate sugar scrub and Lemon body parfait, I love both and would not only recommend them to someone but would buy them again! They are great for winter skin and smell great!! Sweets!

Have you ever had a craving for something, knew what it was you wanted but didn't have it in the house or only had part of the stuff to make it? I want popcorn and M&M's right now, I only have popcorn...I also am not sure why I am craving the two together but when I try it later I will find out why! For now I will have to settle for Ghiradelli squares in different flavors. So I haven't posted in a few days, here's what I have been doing....

My candy corn inspired nails. OPI"s cabana banana
with Julep's Sabrina-a new crackle on top
A ribbon and pearl bracelet. I made two of these today to try it out but will

Today is very Blah

Looking out my front window I wonder if I will create anything today, the sky is gray and the air is drab. It is so blah feeling outside, it just puts me in that mood to leave the beads and images put away and not do anything except my household chores today. Today I'm not even sure that I want to do that!

I still have a great sale going in my store. Enter code HOLIDAYSURPRISE during checkout for 50% off during checkout, this sale lasts until Nov. 25th and 4 lucky people will win a free gift! Visit me @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/peachiespasttime/

Want to support a great artist? Follow this link http://onfireforhandmade.com/awareness-great-finds/ and vote for 'Love Sweet Chocolate' who is currently tied for first. Now if there are any others in this contest that you love then you can vote for them instead but I chose to vote for LSC!!!

I enjoy wire wrapping but could learn a lot from this artist! As I look at Anne's work I wonder how her lines are so neat and her circles are so tight, it makes me wish I was able to do it as well as her! Wire work is unique, you may think that things will all turn out the same but each piece is different, no matter how hard the artist tries it is going to be a different set of earrings or a different necklace then the one before, so if you are looking for something out of the box or something that nobody else has you need to visit Flotsam And Whimsy @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/flotsamandwhimsy/ Give Anne a visit and if you can't find something you like I'm sure she would be willing to work with you, that is the kind of person she is!

Hope you enjoyed today, see you tomorrow!!

Fall and Holiday Sales

Blah, I am still not feeling good but I had today off so I have been able to rest. The weather outside is stunning, chilly in the morning then warm in the afternoon and chilly at night-the perfect fall day. I can curl up on the couch with a good book, a cup of soup, a blanket and my kitties and enjoy the day. Today however my cats wanted to play with some new toys they got so I made some natural flower bottle cap necklaces, they will be listed soon.  I also enjoy a few cups of homemade tea-cut up a lemon, add some ginger-fresh or ground either will work, and honey to a glass jar with a lid and put it in the fridge. When you feel the need add some to a glass of hot water and there you go, it has made my throat feel so much better and my nose is clearing up so fast; thanks goes to Cyndi for this and if you use it I hope you enjoy it as well.

Its getting closer!

I feel that first fall cold coming on and I don't want it...all because I went outside with wet hair the other night, I know that is what caused this. Oh well, fight it with hot tea and meds and I will be ok. My cats are following me around like they are my parents because they are worried, it is so weird having someone around who can sense things like that but I know its only because they care. I love them though, they are to sweet.

Craft Cafe, the site I have my store on, is having a give away right now. It is an amazing goodie box filled with 13 amazing handmade items from sellers on the site. You could win this box if you take the time to enter the give away as well, it takes 5-10 minutes of your time and you can do some of them each day for more entries. It ends in 6 days so hurry and enter this amazing give away!! https://www.facebook.com/CraftCafeLove/app_190322544333196

Handmade and Supplies!!

I have had a fantastic few days. I didn't babysit Friday so I spent the day with my mom in her classroom, it was a great surprise for her. I walked in and told her I jumped on my witches broom and flew over, her and all the kids got a great laugh out of that. I helped her get a lot of things done that she hasn't been able to do all year after the kids were gone and then we headed back to her house for a late night and bonding that I don't get very often. I spent most of the day with her Saturday and then my dad picked me up again on Sunday for another wonderful day with my mom. Saturday I got to spend some time with my niece before my dad brought me home and Sunday I got to spend some time with my niece and sister in law when I went to get something for my mom....I never go straight there and leave. A wonderful weekend and great food! Both days I brought home left overs!

I finally got all my crafting things put away and they are more organized then they were before, for now anyway. I am glad to have all that done and put away, I ordered some new evil eye beads-wooden ones this time, they should be fun to work with and more earring hooks. Both came from my trusty supplier Kathy and her Artfire store you can check her out if you want @ http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/UniquelyYours12

I want to feature a store from Craft Cafe today that is both a supplier and crafter. As I look though the beads in her store I am in awe, the things she has are amazing, I can't wait to have some of them in my creations...they are not only good quality but wonderful color and stunning works of art as well. Her handmade items are amazing, you look at what she has and you are awestruck, thinking why is this person selling beads and not just making these amazing creations. I am talking about Jenn at SoulFire Artisan, you can find her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/soulfireartisan/

I hope you enjoy todays post and I am hoping to get back into daily posting this week.

Me and my stress!

Well I had planned on posting while I was at my aunts house but the internet was iffy at first then I had 4 seizures and landed myself in the hospital for a few days. I didn't get to stay for the 2 months like I planned, instead I was there for 3 weeks but I enjoyed the time I was down there, helped my aunt as much as I could and enjoyed the time with my family regardless. Hopefully I will get to go back in  few months when my concussion is fully healed and I am back to 100%, for now I am just taking it easy like my doctor told me to!

I lost all my pictures on my computer so I am in the process of re-saving all of the things from my store, I guess when it rains it pours. I opened my computer the day after my seizures and I had a nasty virus on it and it took everything, I had virus protection but I guess that didn't matter. Just another thing to worry me that day? I mean its not bad enough that I wake up in the hospital but now I have to worry about my computer too...

I have a few ideas for Christmas items, I have cupcakes that I got from  Pammy @ https://www.facebook.com/HmsPrettyLittleJewels and I can't wait to create with those, they will be fun like m Tie Dye Cupcake I got from her. I also have a few new flowers that will be used to create memory wire bracelets and necklaces, can't wait to show those off-I am actually in the middle of one right now.

Right now, this month, is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Many of us are making many items but this hits home for me with my mom being a survivor. I have several items, a few thanks to a wonderful graphic designer Tara, so if you are looking for something for a survivor or just to support the cause visit my store. A portion of my sales will go to to Breast Cancer Research.

I get to spend a wonderful 8 hours on the road with another aunt, don't get to see her very often so it will be fun. I am all packed, all I need to do is sleep and get up in the morning and head out. Super happy. I won't post tomorrow because I will be on the road all day and it will be late when I get in but I will post Friday.

I made one last thing today before I hit the road, it has been claimed by a dear friend of mine but I have more flowers so I could make one for you as well. I will be making more and adding them to my shop next week so if you want one be on the look out for it!

Todays feature is a wonderful supply shop, its where I keep getting all these amazing flowers. Happy Cloud Supplies on Etsy. I came across them the first time I went looking for flowers, I wanted to try something new and looked up clay flowers and found them. I have ordered from them three now, once getting the peach blossoms and ashen plum flowers you already see used in my shop and this time getting this beauty above and a white with blue flower. I also got a large set of mini flowers which I have used in several items, you will find them in necklaces mainly. I love the selection they have and the customer service is great. If you want to try out the flowers and need a place to get them try Happy Cloud Supplies @ https://www.facebook.com/HappyCloudSupplies and @ http://www.etsy.com/shop/happycloudsupplies

One Day Closer

36 hours and I will be on the road. I can't wait to see my family. I am a tad worried though, my aunt is back in the hospital today, O2 levels are low and she can't breath. I pray they find out whats causing that. I colored my hair this morning after I packed up my craft stuff, 5 boxes and it all is now in one for my trip. Plus  my new flowers that I got in the mail today from Happy Cloud Supplies..you can find them on etsy and facebook.

Today I opened my mail box to a sweet surprise. Well, sudsy but sweet. I got a package from Soapery Sweet and inside was sugar scrubs and soap, it is the most amazing smell. Made for me was birthday cake sugar scrub and peach sugar scrub and I was sent PB&J soap as well. They all smell good enough to eat and look it too. Their customer service is wonderful, I would recommend them to anyone! If you are looking for a new product or just want to indulge a bit try them out. You can find them @ https://www.facebook.com/YourSoSoaperySweet

I hope you enjoyed reading and please check them out. I also still need one more person on my 'pay it forward' blog from yesterday. Enjoy and have fun!

Pay it Forward?

Ok, so I missed a day again, sorry. I just did not feel like doing anything yesterday. I did not even do my homework which is not good, I'm cramming it all in now, lol. I have been in a funk the last few days and I think its because I am still worried about my family even though I will be going there in T-minus 4 days and counting. While I'm there I will be worried about Jason and my kittens so I can't win for losing!

I sit here thinking, never a good thing! But a few other bloggers and crafters have done a craft it forward event. You comment on this post and I will contact you for some details but I have a year to send you a gift, it can be anything as long as it is homemade. I think I will do the first 5 to comment with 'pay it forward', catch is though you have to play along. Post to your blog or twitter or facebook so that others have the chance to get an amazing surprise from you as well. Don't tell them when you send it, just send it!

Feature for today...this one is hard. I will fill you in on a wonderful new edible shop on Craft Cafe. Its called Edens Touch Bread and its run by Marissa. I have ha their breads and butters before, they are amazing. When I ordered from them I got Banana Walnut and Cheddar Bacon breads and was sent a sample of Italian Herb Butter. The butter was very smooth and rich, I did not care for the taste, not to keen on some of the herbs I guess, but my mom loved it. She said it was the best herb butter she had had other then her own! They make many other breads and butters and have amazing customer service but don't take my word for it, try them for yourselves! You can find them @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/edenstouchbread/ or @ https://www.facebook.com/EdensTouchBread

Thanks for reading, remember to pay it forward and see you tomorrow!

Car Ride!

Well today I went to the doctor, she told me to come back in 6 months...guess she didn't find anything wrong with me again! She told me that I had lost more weight which is good, its our goal so I'm doing something right, go me! Bad thing is a 2 1/2 hour trip there and a 2 1/2 hour trip back so I was very tired when I got home even though I am not the drive...long story. But I didn't go to bed when I got home, instead I listed new items.

Yesterday I made 2 new items for you guys, a wonderful pink necklace and a BEAUTIFUL opalite necklace.

Here they both are but you can find them and many others listed in my shop, the link is at the top right where you see shop at PeachiesPasttime.

Today's feature is a bit different, the wonderful lady who I want to showcase has a wonderful job yet a hard job. Each month she gathers samples and then sends them to each person who buys a box, I am talking about Traci of Sampler Village, she is also one of the admin on Craft Cafe. She has the job of putting together each box of samples every month-except August, addressing them and sending them to all of us loving fans. Sampler Village is how I have found many of my new loves, like the pendant on the pink necklace above, or Sarah from Sugared Euphoria and even Robyn at Soapery Sweets who I am currently waiting on an order from. If you want to try out a bunch of new items give Sampler Village a try for a month, you never know what is inside! You can find them at https://www.facebook.com/SamplerVillage2 or http://samplervillage.com/  or http://www.craftcafe.co/shop/samplervillage/

I hope you check them out, I did and loved them! As always, I hope you enjoyed and I will see you tomorrow!

John

We had state inspections today, well we were supposed to. Each year our apartment complex has inspections from the company and the state, we got chosen last year for the state to come in, they pick a few random apartments and go in them and make sure everything is up to par, this year they skipped us. That was nice but we still cleaned our butts off for it...at least the place is nice and clean for when I leave next week!

I made a really nice necklace today, with beads from Tara and Tammy, I thank them both for sending them to me, they work well together and make a very fun item! It is shown above and I hope you enjoy it as well. I am trying to get back into making things, but I am not sure what I have left in me. I really want to do things with images but my printer is out of ink right now so I will have to wait...

Today my feature is on someone very special, well each person I feature is special, this person just goes above and beyond. His name is John. Born in Rwanda, he has witnessed a lot in his young life, including the massacre of his village. Living now as an adult in Uganda, he is getting the education he was deprived as a youth. He makes art, with whatever he has available to him,  paper, seed beads, seeds, barrel beads, shells, wood and stretchy cord. He cuts and dyes coconut, shells, beans, seeds, whatever is close at hand. John sees beauty and art in many things others never notice.  He has recently started using banana fiber. His 'mom' here stateside has seen his work and takes care of his funds for him, she can't believe that some of the things he uses are actually paper, his work is amazing and his faith in God is strong. If you are looking for something that is created with love, talent and care check out his facebook page...it is under construction but there are somethings up there already. You can find it @ https://www.facebook.com/FromUgandaWithLove

Here is a sample of some of his work. I love all of it and as soon as I am able to I know I will be getting something, I'm just not sure what! I know I love the bean bracelet though!

As always, I hope you enjoyed reading and I will see you tomorrow!

Skipped a Day!

I had every intention of writing yesterday after I finished downloading the newest patch for Warcraft...however once I got in and started playing I loved it so much it was midnight and I was half asleep before I knew it! Lets just say I am loving the new area so much more then the old areas! I need to let the rest of the patch load today though so I am going to finish cleaning when I am done writing and then I will play again tonight.

Have you ever bought something and forgotten about it? I did! I got some beads from Tammy, I featured her  a few days ago so you can find her link there, and when I checked my mail I had a packaged from her, I didn't remember getting anything so I was confused. I opened it and it all came back. I now have some wonderful pink crackle beads and opalite beads to work with, that might turn into something today as well.

I had planned to feature a wonderful shop yesterday so here it is for you today!

A woman of many talents, Heather @ Snow Bear Hobby Shop can create many things. From cards, to business card holders, to treat bag toppers to crocheted items, if you are looking for something exciting and unique you can find it here. My favorite item in her shop are her face scrubbies, she creates them using left over yarn from the wash clothes she makes...waste not want not I was always taught!...so you can having matching sets in your bathroom! But I bought 2 sets, one I use for my face and the other I use for nail polish removal, it works wonderful...even on glitter polish. If you are tired of using cotton balls and want something you can wash and reuse then check out her store, she has many color options! You can find her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/snowbearhobbyshop/?category=2567

I hope you enjoyed reading today and I will see you tomorrow!

Exciting Day!

SO...today I miss my grandparents but I will see them next week so its okay! Not very creative today, I did my nails and tried a water marble but it didn't turn out very well...asking some friends to give me tips on it and hope it will turn out better next time! I started cleaning today, we have inspections coming up and I need to make sure everything is 100% perfect for them so they don't say anything bad! I will have to tidy up after the kids but I won't have to do major cleaning if I get it all done today.

It rained again, not surprised really but hey...at least I'm not in the path of Issac and in possible danger. I pray all the people in the path stay safe, I worry about my family and friends that are down there! As far as weather goes though, today wasn't to bad, some rain this morning and then a bit of sun and a tad bit of humidity. A typical NC day, lol.

I have came across a wonderful candle/tart maker, her creations are more like art then anything I have ever seen, if you don't believe me check out the collage I have put together for you!

I was going to include a picture but as I sat looking at her things I was in love with all of them! This is the work of Judy Armstrong @ Yummy Candle Creations. She makes amazing candles and tarts, as you can see many of which look like actual food. I think my favorite is the Caramel Apple Pie, it is the 3rd picture in the second row. If you want your house to smell amazing without all the work visit her @ https://www.facebook.com/YummyCandleCreations

I hope you enjoy reading and don't forget to pay her a visit, she has a great sale going on right now!

Today is amazing, I am making lunch/dinner for the best grandparents in the world! They should be in around 1-3...lol big time gap I know! Depends on traffic and potty calls. I am excited though, I haven't seen them since January and really miss them! The wait to see them won't be so long this time though, since they live in Georgia, only about 10 minutes from my aunt. In my crock-pot I have Cream of Chicken and Cream of Mushroom soup and 3 large chicken breasts, I will make the rice to go along with it when they get here and we get ready to eat. It smells good so I hope it is good.

The weather outside is nice, I really should go out and take some more pictures but I have to do homework and I told myself that school would always come first. Now its only math so its not hard but it still comes first! Oh, good news, I sold a necklace set yesterday! My disco dancin' set, I was excited, as I always am with a sale but glad that one of my neighbors was also happy to purchase this item.

I really enjoy doing my features, it allows me to promote someone and give them 'facetime' that they might not normally get and it shows them that their hard work is paying off. Today I want to talk about someone I often go to in a time of need. She is my #1 bead supplier, Kathi. She has tried many different places when it comes to setting up shop so there is no telling where you may have seen her or crossed paths with her but right now she is on Facebook and Artfire. I love the selection she has and the customer service is topnotch. She makes sure she always has happy customers and leaves you wanting more! With each order she sends a small thank you gift, allowing you to try things with items you might not have purchased....she has done this to me several times and I end up placing an order within a few days of getting my original one! Check out some of the things she has for sale and maybe even place an order when you visit her @ http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/UniquelyYours12  and @ https://www.facebook.com/UniquelyYours12

Homework and Creation

Today is a day filled with homework and picture taking. I need to get my work done but keep putting it off, I seem to do that every week...but I always get it done. Oh well we will see what happens tonight, I just am not in the mood to do work, not sure why. I have the best 'grandparents' ever, I say that because they stepped in when my grandparents on my dads side both passed. They are both amazing people and I love them like they are blood. Today they are on the way here from Jersey bringing me Cannoli's from Carlos Bakery because I have been wanting some since I saw them on the show, I won't get them until tomorrow morning probably but they will still be divine!

Don't forget to stop in and check out the wonderful movie that stars the amazing Alexa Fiske and donate if you can. You will only be charged if they make their goal. Here is the link again!  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1194490778/stillwater-lake

Today I want to talk about a kitty maker, sounds strange but shes awesome! Here is one she made for me, it is Naruto, an anime character.
Ricki @ Itty Bitty Kitties created this amazing kitty and she has done many others, one of my favorites is the Big Bang Theory collection that she created. Now she makes all sorts of kitties, ones dressed for each holiday and she can even do ones that match your kitties. You can visit her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/ittybittykitties/  and

Rain Rain Go Away

Today it has been very wet outside, raining all day only stopping for a short time. There is a tropical storm down in the gulf but I shouldn't be getting that rain yet! Oh well, what better way to make pretty stuff then in the rain, it is soothing and helps me concentrate! Oh, and I have to get math homework done sometime! HA...

I am almost ready for my trip, I am excited I get to see my family but not happy that the reason I have to go is because I have sick family, good news is my aunt is doing better! I get to see my grandparents this weekend! SO excited for that, I miss them and can't wait for them to be in town. Another good thing about my trip is getting to see my cousin run, she decided she was going to do cross country....takes after me she said. Makes me smile when I think of my high school days.

I have many talented friends, some of which also have talented children. My dear friend Christine has 3 very talented children and one is getting ready to make a movie that will be premiered at the Richmond International Film Festival, they need support. Click this link and it will tell you more about the movie and what you can do to help! http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1194490778/stillwater-lake

The creator of these wonderful cupcakes is non other then Pammy Santiago @ H.M's Pretty Little Jewels. These are just a few of my favorite cupcakes that they created, I have a rainbow cupcake and hot pink and black sucker that I purchased from her and she currently is holding a few Christmas cupcakes for me until I get to my aunts house. She makes each one out of clay, attaches the eye ring while still went then adds a jump ring so you can add it to a necklace or bracelet. She also makes hair bows and jewelry herself. You can find all her amazing work @ https://www.facebook.com/HmsPrettyLittleJewels

Maybe tomorrow will be dry and I will be able to go outside but for today it is homework and pretties creation! Hope you enjoyed reading.

=^.^= MEOW=^.^=

Todays mission is a bit different. I want to talk about something that has been dear to me my whole life, cats. I have two very wonderful cats that look over me and can detect my seizures, in the past I have had wonderful cats that I just loved on. I have a friend and wonderful fellow crafter on Craft Cafe  is trying to help her grandson raise money for the shelter he works/volunteers at. Last summer he created a design and sent it in a band designer, having them make it for him and all money raised is being donated to the shelter to feed the hungry animals. You tell me another teenager who has a heart that big? I bought a band because I can't stand seeing hungry animals, if you are interested contact Tammy @ https://www.facebook.com/tammyjsbeadunique or https://www.facebook.com/tammysb.eadunique
Each band is $5, $2 for shipping and $3 to the shelter. Find the soft spot in our heart and give just a little to help the hungry babies.
Totoro says help the hungry kitties

Have you ever found that soap that you just had to have and couldn't live without? Well I have found 2 soap makers on Craft Cafe that I love! One makes a Fuzzy Navel that I just love and the other makes a Chamomile that works wonderfully for shaving. I am talking about Helene Tapp and Sarah Henson, I have now bought several times from both. Here is my break down from both stores.

*Helene and The Soothing Soul*
I have bought a few times from this store, I have gotten Coffee Peppermint, Man Soap in Werewolf with Oat added, and Lavender Boo Boo. I got the Chamomile as a gift on my last purchase when I ordered the Man soap. They all lather wonderfully and you can smell them before you even open the package, it is amazing. She colors the soap if you want or adds extra scent, I got extra added to my coffee soap. She has wonderful customer service. You can find her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/thesoothingsoul/

*Sarah and Sugared Euphoria*
I have shopped twice now in this store. I received a sample of Fuzzy Navel in my box from Sampler Village and fell in love with the scent and the soap, so I found her on facebook. I ordered the full size bar and she sent with it all sorts of goodies, I got 3 or 4 different samples of bath bombs and while they all smelled nice I had to give them to others since we have no tub but they enjoyed them! She has samples of one of her new falls soaps posted right now so I had to try that. I am sure I will enjoy it as much as the other soap from her shop! You can find her @  http://craftcafe.co/shop/sugaredeuphoria/

**Remember support the kitties and enjoy the wonderful soap makers!**

What to do when you are tired?

Last night I was working on a custom order, that set of 5 necklaces I have talked about, and my hand slipped and beads went everywhere...not just all over my desk but all over my living room and probably my kitchen as well. I knew I shouldn't have been working on it since I was tired and the beads weren't cooperating but I am trying to get all but one done before my trip. I found most of the beads, with aid from my cats, and got busy again...this time not dropping them everywhere! The finished product came out wonderful!

The hardest part for me is naming the items and coming up with the description. I can make it and talk about it all day but it is hard to put that to words on a computer screen! I often have my friends help me when it comes to item names, such as the memory wire bracelet I have listed right now, I had a friend help me name that. If they come up with the name they can also be funny and decide they want a portion of the sales....I have great friends that are willing to help with almost anything!

Today's feature is someone who also features others. Each week Linda Searcy features several members of craft cafe in her Thursday blog. She posts a topic for us and we will give her a link of another shop, why we like that item and the link for our shop. I think this is a great way to get the word out there about other shops because it is kinda like double coverage. She came up with this stunning idea last week and it was a hit! You can visit her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/lindasearcyjewelrydesigns/
You can also read her blog and find out who is being featured each week and what she has to say @ http://lindasearcyjewelrydesigns.blogspot.com/

Today will bring a sale!

I decided to have a buy one get one half off sale today, lasting until midnight tomorrow, it includes custom orders. I hope this will drum up some sales since it has been rather slow in my neck of the woods lately...we will see what happens though...do people really want to take advantage of these great deals?

I am working on getting some Halloween and Christmas charms from Pammy, a wonderful clay charm maker~I can't wait to make things with her stuff! I will post those when they are done, I'm sure they will be amazing. I'm wondering right now how I will get things done while I am gone and in Georgia but I think I will be able to swing it, I will just figure out a way, where there is a will there is a way!

I finished a necklace that has 2 sets of earrings yesterday and have to list that and a bracelet, I will get that done today. I am coming down to the deadline on when I want to have my custom order done as well, I wanted it done before I left for Georgia which is September 6th...I hope to have the final two necklaces done this week. So much to do with so little time but it will get done!

Today I want to talk about Jeana Davis a The Sweets Fairy Bakeshop. I ordered cookies from there, chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, and peanut butter with Hershey kisses....She had a sale going, she almost always does because she is amazing, and gave me a sample of her cake pops, butter cream icing and popcorn drizzled with chocolate and caramel. It was all simply amazing and I'm not sure what I enjoyed most. I know the popcorn made a great breakfast and the icing was hard to put down! You can visit her @ http://craftcafe.co/shop/thesweetsfairybakeshop/

Thanks for reading today. Stop by tomorrow and see who I feature!

Fun times!

A new store calls for a new blog right? I set up my store on Craft Cafe a few months ago and have had a few sales, the customer service has been pretty good~they work hard to address any problems we may be having and try to keep copyright rules enforced. I have found that working on things while I am upset or stressed creates the best pieces, not sure why but the things come out amazing!

I enjoy custom orders, I am working on one right now, it is a set of 5 necklaces and earrings to match for a good friend of mine. She had planned to get one each payday but I had two finished last payday so she bought both, now to get something done since this week is payday...we will see!

The hard part right now is sales are down and everyone is being negative because of it, so what? Its summer vacation and people are spending time away from the computer and spending money on things other then pretty stuff online, our time will come. We just have to bear with the time, wait another month or so and we will have a good 4-5 months before the slow time hits again right? I hope so, I'm ready for it!

I have met a lot of good people in my line of work so far. I will feature one each time I write. Today I will talk about Tara, she is an amazing graphic designer who I love to get images from. She has been in business for herself for almost 15 years now and each day creates new work that still amazes me. Check out her sites @ http://www.etsy.com/people/graphicdesignbytara?ref=owner_profile_leftnav
@https://www.elance.com/s/graphicdesignbytara

I hope you have enjoyed this and I will try my best to be back tomorrow!
